Quirky

Quirky è una distribuzione Linux creata tramite il tool Woof ed è creata dallo stesso autore di Puppy Linux. E’ specificatamente creata per esplorare nuove idea che vanno oltre il normale approccio con cui si crea una distribuzione Linux.

Questa versione è costruita intorno ad un unico grande file: se il boot parte, tutto è già pronto all’uso.

Versione 7.3: Werewolf

• Quirky 7.3 is the start of the “Werewolf” series, able to install packages from the Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf repositories.
  Version 7.3 has major improvements to running from live-CD, with fast bootup, zram compression and session saving. The live-CD has become viable for on-going usage, as an alternative to performing an installation to fixed or removable drive. These improvements also apply to the “frugal” mode of installation.
  There have been numerous bug fixes and upgrades. The kernel is now 4.2.5 and SeaMonkey is 2.38.

Quirky non è un clone di Ubuntu anche se utilizza i suoi repositori per ampliare l’offerta di software.
